Unlike boring, soul draining jobs, Game testing does not require an education, but it does require experience. Experience which you will need to show on your resume before you are accepted for Video Game Testing.

There are many ways of putting together a nice resume for your gaming career, here are some tips.

1. Write Reviews! This might sound boring and hard for some of you gamers, but its easier than you might think. You do not need a good set of writing skills, just a good opinion about what's good and what's not good. Just start writing small reviews about games or add-ons and go from there, you'll be writing bigger ones in no time! Your future employer will know that you are able to be objective and judgemental about the products (games).

2. Event Organisation. You like to play games with your buddies right? Now do this on a bigger scale. Organize an event that involves gaming or the discussion about it. Show your future employers that you can socialize and/or have it in you to take some responsibility.

3. Mod Creation. Sounds technical and maybe you've never even thought about making a mod but its easier than you think. They're actually very simple and small programs that are easy to learn how to make em. Just google it and you find countless of manuals. I know it doesnt involve video game testing but it will surely help your resume!

4. Make your own "mini-games". I am sure you know what a mini-game is. They're small, simple and very easy to create. With a little research online you will have your very own game in no-time. This will show creativity and that you know what it takes to test something!

5. Joining Beta tests. This is almost the same as a real game test. Maybe on a smaller and cheaper level but it definitely comes down to the same thing. Its a lot of fun and you get to play a wide variety of games. You can find many public online beta test on the internet for which you can sign up. Be on time and be objective!

In the end its all about being creative and motivated. Follow all or most of these tips and you will have a great resume for your new career! A job as a gamer. .
